  • Geez, I hadn't realized how long it's been since I last mountain biked. Having gone through previous entries, I found out that it's been a year and a half since I last rode El Moro. I finally came back to the trail last Saturday with Jeff but found it to be nearly the same as when I first set foot there. Glad to see how some things don't change much. Jeff also introduced me to the long-searched for back entrance for El Moro at the end of Ridge Park Drive. It was a climb to get there but, with low gears and steady spinning, it passed on like a warmup. The loop didn't feel as lengthy as I remembered it but I guess I'm stronger than before. We barely dismounted or took breaks. My handling skills were a little worse than before but I was able to hold my footing, even when riding through patches of sands. I'll be hitting the trail again next week so I should do even better. I just hope Jeff gets up and out on time! 10am is just too late in the day. Boo, sun.
